Hey guys,
Thanks for the kind words!!! Motley Crew would definatley be right with "Jim" as the lead singer!!! I just wanted to add a note on a couple of flies that people discussed. First that orange crush has always been primarily a Steelhead fly. I did try and fish it with some color modifications late last summer with great success on kings. So the color is going to be changed just a little this year. All we did is add a little Mirage with it. I fished it behind a Orange Opti Dodger shallow for Steelies and started ripping kings with it. So I did some more experimenting with it for kings. And it fished real well.

Also the Blue Bubble fly is going to be switched for next year. I added Mirage to it and used 3 of the large green glow beads with it. It more than doubled my output on that fly.

Their are also some new flies coming out for next year that fished exceptionally well last year.

Also on a side note. My website might become just and informative fly site by spring. My goal is to have flies in the shops around the Great Lakes and to have Bob from Big Pappas sell my flies online.

Plus Jim can you send me that pic. I don't have any of them.

Nice site and thanks again for the nice comments,
Curt

Hey Curtis! I thought you were the only one in the world that actually liked my "singing". I'm glad to hear that you're doing more with Mirage. There's something magic about that color. If I could only have one fly in my arsenal it'd be a Purple Taco Mirage with an assortment of beads. I haven't tried to tye any flies with the stuff I got from you yet. I need to find a vise or make one. Mirage is going to be a part of the majority of patterns I tie.

I'll send you the few pics I have from Harbor Beach. Does anyone have any from Rogers City?

Awesome curt - orange has always produced for me - so I'm glad to hear about modifications. Maybe it's my Lake Huron roots

As with any member you're welcome to preview your flies here - post them in a thread or send them to me and I'll put them up. Really I'd just like to see them LOL!!!

I don't know if you already have this pattern but a 1/2 orange 1/2 black spoon has put a lot of kings in the boat for me. I think Silver Streak calls it Halloween or Harley Man, not sure which. I'd bet it would make a good fly pattern if you had the black seperated from the orange. Just a thought.

Greg,
Email me your mailing address.

Jim,
You Paul and Rick are all gonna get a package from be before spring. I'll put a Black and Orange fly in it. With the materials seperated.

Also about making flies. Jim i've got a new way all my flies are going to be made this year. With the help of Larry Harwick from Offshore tackle. We've come up with a new way to make them. Its way faster and easier. Plus its not as hard on the materials. Thus the flies will hold up even better yet.

I'll send you a copy of the instructions as soon as I get them completed.

Curt

Last year I bought some skirts and other things from you at Birch Run. I tied them up with a double-hook set-up with Gamy red singles ( I really prefer a double single-hook set-up on flies), and tried a variety of glow bead combinations (green and yellow were best). They were absolutely great, and your skirts are really tough. I never had to retire a fly because it got "scraggly". Are you going to be at Birch Run this year, and will you continue to sell components for those of us who like to tie up some for ourselves?
