Chip
I got my two silver Ridgebacks in the mail the other day. They are great looking weights and I can't wait to get them wet! The glow beads are a nice touch.

For anyone still skeptical about these weights, you've got to see fish come racing in to check them out to believe it. I've fished on several boats now that ran RR's and was thouroughly impressed with their fish attracting ability. So impressed in fact that I ordered a pair for my own boat even though I just invested in some shark weights last year. There are days that they definately put more fish in the boat.

I couldnt agree more. It was comical yesterday again having Queen Salmon and midgit on board running the help as Flatrate and I worked the back of the boat. As helmsman, midgit kept us informed of the action on the graphs. Almost constantly while we were in the fish she was saying "oooh here comes one to the deep rigger!", or "Holy crap, that one is swimming with us!" It is amazing watchig that on the graph! Not every fish bites, but they sure do come into the spread. And to watch the fish cover 20-40' of the water colum on the graph to check out the RidgeBack Rattler is just plain cool!

Thnks RidgeBack Rattler for entertaining us on the graph and helping to put more fish in the boat with a great product!

What's this about chrome or silver and glow beads ? New this year ? I have one of the small ones -- anodized. Never seen a noticeable increase in catch rate, but the design would seem to say I should.

Chip77 has added some new finishes to the Ridgeback Lineup this year, a nickle silver and nickle and black zinc. And you can put anything you want on the rattle attractors - glow beads are a great idea! I always have atleast one down - and watch the fish come up and check it out ... I might add some hooks

Hey Jim, glad you got your very own Ridgebacks Let me know how you like 'em when you get 'em wet....
Greg, you are right, the new colors this year are very durable and good looking too. I know a guy that added hooks on his Ridgebacks in S. Carolina, thot he'd be cute cause the fish were coming in real close to look at 'em. He wasn't too happy when a 6 ft shark decided to sample the Rattler tho' and he almost lost his whole downrigger!!
Seagar, the new 9# Ridgebacks are available in three colors, silver, yellow and black. The next batch of 7#'ers I run will be available in those colors too. (Probably by mid-summer.)
I have some fantastic captians and crews running the Ridgebacks this year and as their use broadens I expect more and more great stories!!
I just heard that Todd Derby capt of BLIND DATE took first on the AM side of a tourney this weekend!! Great Job Todd!! I wonder how he used his Ridgebacks in his spread??!! Can't wait to find out.....
Its a great time of the year....Now go forth and FISH!!
Best,

Hey guys don't forget the Ridgebacks were down on the last week of April with that 9th place finish at the Scotty Championship. For anybody wondering. You may not see a marked difference in the number of hits per say on the dowrigger with the Ridgeback on it. But I do almost always see a difference of hits in the spread with the Ridgeback down.

I like my sharks too Howard. There are still those days that stealth is key.

The Ridgebacks have been down in every tourney this year. We've cashed 8 checks in 4 tourneys. That should speak volumes!! Yes Chip I have pics from all the tourneys that will be back this week. I'll send them to you as soon as I get them.

Howard my sharks are for sale. I've got 1 other person that wants them. I'll call them tonight. If they pass their yours if you'd like. I haven't had them in the water once this year.

Later,
Curt
