Anyone had luck w/ jet divers while salmon/trout fishing? If so how did you use them?

Thanks,

Conman

I have not used them for salmon. Some of the Bender Brown guys were using themto get spoons down to a preferred depth.I have used them for eyes and would have the Jet attached to a snap swivel then a leader that is no longer than the rod I was using to another snap swivel to which the bait is attached.my poor memory cant account as to which size Jet goes how deep.I prefer to use mini discs for set up the same way for browns and bows.At times the last 2 years I would have as many as 6 of the 9 rods we ran in our winter brown spread setup with mini discs and spoons. We did well with them.

Got exposed to them the last couple of years down on Erie for walleye. Main advantage of Jet's are that they float. Consequently you can float them out the back of the boat over the top of other lines and then take the rod to the side before engaging the reel to make it dive. No reason I know of that they wouldn't work on trout and salmon too.

I use them for running spoons in shallow water. The main reason is because they float if you stall them during a turn, versus sinking to the bottom and snagging.
