Had a crew of 4 on board for a trip Thursday. Started out with the channel program. Stacked riggers with plugs, # ball down the chute with a plug and plugs on a diver on each side. After two hours of doing laps we had two hits and zero fish. I did witness several fish being caught in a half hour span at first light. Vinnie kept picking away at them, but I couldnt get them to bite in there. at about 830 I picked lines and ran out to the North and sat down in 130 fow. I worked the waters from 15.5N to 19.5N and from 130 to 100 and back to 180. We took 5 fish out there and missed one more. 4 kings and one steelie all 4-6#. nice for the table, but not the greatest for fighting I guess. Our two hits in the morning mud program were on Pearl Tomic on a rigger at 18 down and a yellow glow Orca on the # ball down the chute. Outside fish spoons were best. Two fish each on Lemonfire glow Nailer (76) on the 13 color and Bloody Clown Nailer (86) on the 8 color. We also took a fish 100 down on the rigger with a big blue double crush spinnie with a SeaMist HorseFly and missed a shot on a double slick, white fishcatcher with an artic Ice HorseFly set on a low diver 160 back.
