Guy from work is heading to Traverse City next week and may be interested in a charter with his family. Any recommendations? I know very little about the action up there. Thanks

Here's the Michigan list - not familiar with any of the operators up there.

We chartered a couple of boats out of traverse city last august for a bachelor party. We had a good time and fishing in the bays is pretty protected so weather may be less of an issue. Unfortunately it is mostly fishing for lakers in the bay. I think one boat got a king out of the entire fleet, and they were pretty excited.

Frankfort or Manistee if you don't mind driving a little further south. Most of the charters I'm familiar with in Frankfort don't get going until July. I personally recommend the Seeker. Dick Kekovich but I don't think he's going yet.

In Frankfort you can go out with Fish Hunter, Dave's a great captain and sportsman and sure to show any crew a good time. http://www.fishhuntercharters.net Best of luck!
