You can get an oil analysis for around $22. There are probably places that do it cheaper. I've been using Blackstone Laboratories http://www.blackstone-labs.com/. Actually, I just did an oil change on the truck yesterday and am sending a sample in today.

ALMOST ALL ENGINE LUBRICANT WILL HAVE SMALL AMOUNTS OF FUEL IN IT .
THE NOSE TEST IS JUST MY WAY OF TELLING THERE IS WAY MORE THAN NORMAL .
"LIKE WOW THAT SMELLS JUST LIKE THE GAS I SPILLED FILLING THE LAWN MOWER"
IF SOME THING DOES NOT LOOK FEEL SMELL RIGHT THEN WE START TESTING
MOST TIMES YOU CAN FIND PROBLEMS BY JUST LOOKING AROUND AT THE MOST OBVIOUS STUFF FIRST

POST YOUR SPECIFIC QUESTIONS HERE WE WILL TRY TO HELP
THERE IS ONLY ONE DUMB QUESTION!
