Frank, I was just wondering if there is anything for lubing steering cables, something that would force grease or oil through the sheath without having to remove the cable.

Keith I have a tool to put on the cable to lubricate them but the truth is it has never worked very well. This might be that it was too late for the cables I have tried to lube.
The bests results I have had making steering cables last longer especially for guys like us that fish in the colder weather has been to start with a new cable slide a heater hose over the helm end clamp it and fill the hose with pure anti freeze hang it up over night allowing the anti freeze to feed through the cable. Anti freeze is a good lubricant as well as a rust inhibitor. After doing this I have yet to change of have any more problems with these steering cables
