SOME OF THOSE NICE WASH DOWN PUMPS AND LIVE WELL PUMPS HOLD WATER AND NEED A LITTLE PINK ANTI FREEZE IN THEM SO THEY WILL WORK NEXT YEAR .
ALSO IF THE DRAINS ARE PLASTIC PIPE AND NOT RUBBER THE DRAINS LINE CAN FREEZE CAUSING A NASTY LEAK THAT WE SOME TIME HAVE TO PULL OUT FLOORS TO FIX .
YOU CAN STILL USE YOU BOAT IN THE WINTER AFTER WINTERIZING THESE FEATURES BY REMOVING THE INLET SCREENS AND PUTTING A PLUG IN THE INTAKE PIPES AS WELL AS THE DRAIN OUTLETS .
HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE FISHING IN THE COLDER WATERS !!
SOME OF THE BEST FISHING IS WHEN ITS COLD BUT BE EXTRA SAFE .
A LITTLE ANTI FREEZE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOAT IS RECOMENDED FOR ANY ONE FISHING IN THE COLDER WEATHER TO ELIMINATE THE POSIBILITY THAT A BILGE PUMP IMPELLER COULD BE FROZE UP WHEN ITS NEEDED THE MOST AD MORE EVERY TRIP AND CHECK THE BILGE MAKE SURE ITS FREE FROM ICE

It is irresponsible to be advising people and your customers to be adding antifreeze to their bilge to be pumped overboard while on the water. Be a part of the solution, not a part of a continuing problem.

allways use non toxic anti freeze in all systems used in a boat, both in the motors ( yes closed systems) as well as any other plumbing
I am sory i took for granted any one would consider using any thing but the non toxic variety
