Fished it by myself. Started in just off the Point in 27-28 fow. Got 2 nice ones real quick then things dried for me for a couple of hours. Followed a boat south of the Point about 8-9 miles and got into 26-27 fow. There they were! I finished out a limit w/ good eaters in this area. I was almost to the Spark Plug. Still lots of fish to be had and I didn't hear on the radio any one way to get them. I'll be in the madness on Saturday and back Tuesday or Wednesday of this next week. Anyone fished off of Tawas before this time of year??? I heard there are fish there now also. Husky: Frank got his limits again also and the shallow bite dried up he said.

Thanks Paperboy, nice job on the fish. As of now, I think I will be fishing next Friday. If things out deep aren't happening I will still try in shallower, ya never know.

We went out at the river launch in Pt Au Gres and did a whole lot of nothing in 32fow on Friday and Saturday. Only thing we had hit was a steelie on a crawler harness of all things. We marked a ton of fish at the bottom but nothing was biting. The only place we heard of walleye catches were around 28fow or 18fow out by the weeds.

Not good! I am heading for Au Gres RIGHT NOW! I'm heading hard south to begin with into 26-28 fow. Will report on my return.
