Decided to bail out of work a little early yesterday and hit the Maumee. Temps are still a little on the cold side (41 degree water) but the river fell about 1.5' yesterday, and it was darn nice outside...

So what the heck..

Fished at Fort Meigs and then at Orleans Park. Had one fish on and up to me at Orleans that popped off about 5' away from me. Appeared to be a decent male fish of about 3# or so. Buddy landed a very nice 6# male. Several guys around us landed fish, but most were foul hooked.

This weekend should be pretty decent. Hoping to send Salmonhead home with a cooler full of walleye fillets.

Very nice!! We may be out this weekend doing some battle fishing if the lake still looks like it does.
