We left Sterling with four man crew with the intent of 15 walleye for the crew. Captain didn't need any fish. It was a work night and crew was told when we hit 15 fish we were pulling lines. 4 hours later we hit the 15 fish and caught #16 while reeling in. We finished 16 for 20 as we missed four confirmed walleye and a couple of those missed were huge 8lb. size. We pulled dipsys and spoons 40 ft back and started trolling 1 mile due east of Stoney point in 22 ft of water. We trolled with the wind - NW all the way to the Fermi buoys in 18 ft. The closer we got to the 18 ft. the bigger the fish and the more action. We had: 1 8lb. 28 inch, 5 4lb. fish and the smallest walleye was 18 inches. We caught a nine lb. sheep (master angler) and only 20 silver fish. We caught four fish trying to troll upwind but it was tough. The forecast was west 5 - 10 with 1 - 2 ft waves. WRONG!!! we had ESE 15+ with 3 - 3 1/2 footers. The last hour it subsided to 2 foot waves. The hot spoons were; Greenslick 3, Kevorkian circus freak 3, Mi - Hi 3, Lady bug 3, Moonshine yellowtail 3, mix veggies 1. Many thanx to Corey for turning us on to the moonshine spoons. We started hanging them at 9:30 and put out four. we kept the four best streaks but the only lures to come in the boat in the last 20 minutes were the moonshine spoons with 3 walleye, 4 silver and one sheep. I owe you a couple of beers Corey!
