I was blessed to have my Uncle Ron aboard again yesterday. This is the third year he's been able to make a trip with me. I think I heard him say he's 74 now. He and my cousin Rick made the drive up from the Cleveland area. Rick never fished big water before. cantgetenough also joined us and busted his butt taking care of setting lines, netting, fish and generally keeping the fishing end of the boat fishing. Thanks Steve, I owe you one!

We got a late start and set lines around 10:45. We started at the outer edge of Brest Bay trolling in a genearlly northern direction in 21 FOW. Continued up to Fermi area still in the 21-22 FOW. Made a U turn and wound our way back in a southerly direction thru the pack of boats. We picked away at the fish with minidivers & spoons. 80' behind the tow lines. Speed didn't seem to be a key and varied from 1.9 to 2.3 knots. Most fish came on Lady Bug, Mi-Hi, and Mixed Veggies about evenly split.

We picked through a lot of silver bass and managed to finish the day with our 20 walleye at about 15:20. After cleaning the fish and the boat, we took our catch over to Trappers for dinner. Mmmmm, fresh walleys with fries, onion rings...

Good job on the eyes Little Dandy. Always enjoy reading your posts. I do have a question, what is the color scheme for the lady bug and mi-hi? I have searched for them but haven't found them. You had to mention Trappers and walleye dinner, now my wife is mad at me for drooling on my shirt! lol

We are headed to Sterling Sunday for 2 weeks of fishing and fishing and maybe even do a little fishing too. Maybe we will get to meet or talk to you while we are there. Keep up the good work.

Al

Thanks Al. The Silver Streak web site has a chart that shows them, see:

http://www.wolverinetackle.com/appiesnet/gallery/jr-streaks?page=2

I think they are only available in the Jr. Streak size. Matthew's Bait & Tackle and LaSalle Yacht Club store have good selections in stock locally.

On edit: #466 Green Slick has been a stand-out bait since we started running it last season.
