I'VE BOATED THE AREA FOR QUITE SOME TIME BUT I'M NOT CERTAIN WHERE "E BOUY" OR "McDONALD'S" IS LOCATED. I MAY KNOW IT BY SIGHT OR ANOTHER NAME. CAN ANY ONE CLARIFY THIS FOR ME. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Greg put one up on the site but it's not working. I will send him a message.

According to Mike (LIttle Dandy) these numbers are the correct ones for Mcdonalds and Sputnik:

Sputnik (red & white, with horn) 41* 49.56'/83* 11.46'
McDonalds (green & white) 41* 47.65'/83* 15.28'
or in "middle numbers" terms:
Sputnik 50/11
McDonalds 48/15 (a little S & W of Sputnik and closer to Toledo Harbor Light)

Is "E-Buoy" the east buoy for the toledo beach sailing folks? Someone at Luna Pier told me that is what the buoy is for.

If so, do they pull it in the winter-time?

If they do pull this buoy; do they place it in the same spot each year?

All help is appreciated.

It's also only reflected and not lit. We passed it Friday in the dark and it only had a reflector. It's supposed to be dropped in the same spot each year. They use GPS to drop them and it's supposed to be placed in the same spot as far as I know. Good thing we knew where it was as we passed it. We spotted it with the searchlight.
