Our crew of 4 boxed 22 'eyes Saturday morning between 17 & 23 inches, most were 19-21. We got out early and set lines at 6:00 and had the lake to ourselves for an hour before other boats (big bunches of them) began showing up. Normally I wouldn't post exact positions, but based on the sheer number of boats that showed up at 7:00, it was no secret that we were on a hot spot. Looking at yesterday's track, our best success came at 48/08.

We were pulling Big Jon minidisks & spoons 100' off the towlines. Jr.Streaks in Moldy Muffin and Nuked Veggies did the vast majority of the damage for us. The walleyes seemed tightly bunched. When we got too far South we got into sheepshead, too far north we got into undersided walleyes.

After a couple calls from the admiral about impending weather, we cut our morning short and pulled lines at 10:15. We ran into some rain on the way in but not too bad. We were fishing in a friendly mini-tourney and our 5 fish weight of 15.0 put us in the middle of the pack. Congrats to Rick and his crew aboard Lady Bridge.

We had a great day! Thanx Mike. Thanx to Rick and his Lady bridge crew too. What a great bunch! It looks like the Mayfly funk is finally winding down and the fishing is returning to normal some. I love seeing those dinks as much as I love catching the big ones. I think we all know why!

Thanks again to Ladybridge for the invite to fish the Fry Wagon tourney, and thanks as well to Little Dandy for the invite.

15 more minutes and we would've been boxed out, but the black sky to the West was pretty ominous.

Little Dandy and crew,

Glad you guys joined are little friendly braggin rights tourney, the 5th annual FWT (Fry Wagon Tourney).

7 teams participated this year.

Lady Bridge got the lucky big fish (6 pounder) that put us into first place. We caught our 24 fish east of West Sister. We started at 41d45', 82d57' and trolled north to the canadian line. We pulled EA smackdown crawler harnesses and spoons behind jet 40s.

The storms got us on the way back to the dock, but luckily caused no harm. Other teams all got wet from the storms but all made it safe to the docks.

The cocktails after the weighin were enjoyed by all. Always fun listening to others fishing stories.

Glad Little Dandy was able to join us this year. It is a very informal and small tourney strictly for braggin rights.

I'll work on getting all the teams to be EA members. Skunk Ape and Reel Naughty are EA members and can post their days catch.

Those crawler harnesses Rick is referring to were donated for the Smackdown by EA member SalmonRoy. His web site is http://www.uncleroystacklebox.com/ Rumor has it he's expanding his line of tackle soon

I am glad they worked for you LadyBridge. And as Little Dandy mentioned I am expanding with a new product line that I hope to have released by August. I just need a little more water time and they will hit the market. As for a little more water time hopefully this week. Maybe it will work if we keep Clark the weatherman on shore. And by weatherman I mean BAD weatherman. Just kidding.

Every post that mentions BFG in also involves bad weather. Or maybe it was the electricity running through me that has brought this out.

And we caught 3 fish. Just no keepers

OK Clark you can still come up to Frankfort. But no bad weather
