Met up with Little Dandy yesterday for an evening run. Had a decent report from the area up around Stoney Point. Cleared the pier heads at 1700 to a flat calm lake and very sticky conditions. Motored north to find piles and piles of weeds from the power plant off Bolles all the way up towards Stoney.

Tucked into Brest bay for a couple hours, spent more time cleaning lines than we probably did fishing, but managed to put 2 keepers @ 18" each into to the box, along with a nice jumbo perch. Probably caught another 8-10 short walleyes (2007 class) along with a bunch of white bass, white perch, and a couple sheepshead.

The wind picked up around 1830 from the East/Northeast and the lake went from flat to steady 2-3' slop in short order. A looming thunderhead on shore to the Northwest made us decide to pull the plug.

Best spoon of the night was the Little Dandy spoon in copper and/or gold back.

Regardless, as always a great time with Mike on board. We gave the fish a rest...but not for long.
