Fishing Report Maps

I am working on a series of maps to use for the upcoming Fishing Reports section of Educated Angler. I could use some input from those of you that fish Lake Ontario for the ports that you would like to see included on these maps.

We fish out of Sodus Bay, Lake Ontario ...and I see that a few others here do as well, so I hope you will include us. There are quite a few other boats coming out of the smaller bays to our east...East Bay and Port Bay...and of course, Fairhaven, a little farther east, is one of the bigger ports around here.

Others will be able to advise about the ports/bays to the west and east of these locations...this is just our "fishing grounds".

Thanks, Mikell! I had already included Sodus Bay...I will add Fairhaven as well.

On the maps themselves, I am only including the larger ports...but all the ports in a specific area will be listed in the Database.

hi there is also putneville which is about 8mi west of sodus point . then theres ontario launch which is about 8 mi west of that and don't forget to give so info on giana power plant restrictions

Hi my name is Rich DeMong, also known as Rich D from other sites. This is a real nice site you have. I fish the upper east end of lake Ontario out of Henderson Harbor, and I have a few friends that I will turn on to this site as well, so as to post some reports for our fellow fisherman/ women. Keep up the good work. I look forward to posting as much as possible this coming spring through fall.

I'm sorry to be so ignorant about Lake Ontario fishing ports, but I've spent all my time on Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. I'm having a hard time visualizing where the ports are that you have all mentioned.

To help me out, could someone list the ports in order from W to E (or vice versa) along the shoreline? That way I can get them placed in their proper locations for you to use.

Awesome, Richard! This is perfect...I did some searching online looking for something like this, but came up empty. Now I can enter all these harbors in the Reports section for you guys to use.

Tom,

I posted a report for the Niagra bar in the Lake Ontario forum because the port was not on the map. Can we add that to the west side on the bottom. It is the closest river on the bottom to the seam in the map.

Also if it is possible could we add Point Breeze/ Oak orchard to the east side of the map. it is right next to the seam going west.
