I'm hoping someone can advise me as to how large a cooler to buy to store salmon on the boat for the ride home. Also what is the best way to disable them before putting them in the cooler. A sharp "whack" between the eyes? Thanks for any help.

Bob,
I just picked up a 120 qt igloo from walmart for $40, it is big enough to hold upwards of 5 salmon. I disbatch the fish I keep with a solid knock between the eyes with a small bat. Hope this helps. Good Luck
Rich

Thanks Rich, I happen to have an old nightstick laying around that will be perfect for the job. Thanks for the info on the cooler too. Bob
