Yes Coz. That way the glass beads can clank against each other and the spoon without adding action robbing drag.

Coz, the only thing I would say about the rattle beads is to make sure they aren't so long as to tangle in the hook.
I'm sure you've thought of that anyway.
There is a wire type spoon rattle setup available also Hagens has them on page 131 of their catalogue.

I have some prototype spoons that have a chamber with a bead in them. They look and sound pretty cool. Something to play around with, but I see another manufacturer (Jeff's Tackle) is carrying them now.
