Grand River Net Pens - Grand Haven

The Grand Haven and Grand Rapids Steelheaders' net pen project is getting underway for the 2007 season. The pens will go into the water at the GH Municipal Marina on Wednesday, April 4 - 9 a.m. The date for the fish arrival has not been scheduled yet. We will be receiving 175,000 Chinook Salmon. The fish will be held in the pens for 3 to 4 weeks.
The Grand Haven Area Charter Boat Association along with the Off Shore Challenge provide financial assistance for this project. If you have any questions or would be interested in helping or observing - contact Mary Jane Belter, secretary, Grand Haven Steelheaders, at mjbelter@altelco.net.
