Had the pleasure of being invited to fish the weekend with the Reel Naughty boys (JD and Corey) on Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie. Fished Saturday out of Brandenburg, MI for perch on LSC...moved several times, never really found the fish. Frustrating day to say the least. We fished from 5-9fow and tried everything we could to get 'em going. No go...but considering that Reel Naughty has all of the equipment that most guys on t.v. have...it was a very comfy day to say the least. A mighty fine lunch on the ice made it even better.

Sunday found us headed out on Lake Erie just after daylight to a spot that a friend had told Corey about on Saturday. The ice was covered with snow, and there were a lot of drifts. We had a very difficult time getting out to our location, as the quad kept getting stuck in the drifts. Ended up approximately 1.5 miles offshore in 18fow. Managed 5 walleyes in the first hour or so...thought we were going to whack 'em good. Soon as we started to think that..they shut right down. I did manage to pull my first Erie walleye through the ice. Watched it come in on the Aqua Vu, suck in the jig, and then take the quick ride up to the top. What a riot. I'll post a pic as soon as Corey forwards them to me.

Ice was probably 12" thick, and we only had to step across one crack that was about a half-mile offshore. Guys that ventured out further (snowmobiles) did much better than us apparently from the reports. Our fish came on a combination of Buckshot jigs tipped with a single minnow, and another "smoothie" jig that JD was using with a minnow.

Special thanks go out to Corey and Jerry...I had a great time and your equipment is awesome. My first experience with a Vexilar and the Aqua Vu was worth the wait. Glad to finally hook up and fish with you boys.

I used muscles on Sunday that I haven't used in awhile...that walk out and back sure did put the body to the test.
