Got out today with one of my duck hunting buddies. We set up near E Bouy around 14:30 and had slow pickings early. We trolled out near the state line where I had marked a waypoint on Friday. Sure enough, when we got to the waypoint we banged out 7 FAT eyes in the 17-20 inch size in a little over an hour. Time limits forced us to call it a day before we could limit out but we got some real nice filets today. Running mostly the WD spoons (pink skittles & grape jelly) and also ran a couple other 'secret' baits that did well. More info when/if we can get some repeatability. Stay tuned.

Surface temps 70* now. Our best action was in an area showing 22' on the graph.

Nice work Mike. Seems the fish have moved a bit deeper with the warming water.

Notice any mayfly carcasses on the surface??? Stopped at the gas station in Monroe last night after class and I didn't see any on the building or around the lights...but it won't be long.

Didn't see any mayfly carcasses yet. Our lack of success early yesterday in the shallower water may have been speed related. We were running 1.7 - 1.9, forgot to bump up the throttle after I set out the bags. Opps We caught most of our fish yesterday around 2.1 - 2.2. Also the wind really picked up while we were fishing an put a nice Erie chop as the afternoon wore on, that may have helped too.
