Fishing in Ludington remains HOTTTT!

Went out in the morning with ljambeck, Roamer, h20hazard and combination fishing with Verdict and his crew. We went south setting up in 40 FOW with a screen full of fish but the bite was delayed a little by the neaqrly full moon - the started biting jsut as the sun broke over the horizon and the morning flurry was on.

Our only mistake of the morning was sliding out of the 40 to 50 FOW because we had some unproductive trolling until we got back into the 50' depths. We finished 13 for 13 with a box of fish we could hardly carry off the boat. Interestingly it was a good mix of silver and some darkies that are ready to run.

We went out again and fished for BFG, BFT, and their two kids Brooke and Hunter. Always an enjoyable trip when you're taking kids out for their firs tfishing trip and first boat ride. Kids never got queasy as far as I could tell - even though we had a 1 to 2' chop. We managed to get the Team BFG on some fish and got to be there when BFG's kids caught their first Chinook Salmon.

Both trips we setup the exact same way - 3 riggers, 4 divers, and 2 to 4 cores.

Green Spatter Ace-Hi did the heavy lifting
Green Glow Green Tiger Ace-HI was also very productive

These two plugs were run in our spreaqd everywhere from 5 color to 150 copper to slide divers with 40' leads and set back anywhere from 50 to 75 set on 4.

Blue Spatter and Chartruese Spatter Ace-Hi caught fish, and 10" Green Chrome Spin Doctor with pickled sunshine, and experimental 8" Tuxedo SD with Blue Bubble Glow Action Fly was our most productive spinnie and fly.

Fishing is great - we slept in this morning and plan an evening trip to our special place for a yearly hog fest!!! More news later.

Thanks for the trip out with my family Greg and crew. The kids had a blast, and it was great to get to experience the lake with them for the first time.

Special kudos go to everyone from Team EO...as it was no easy task withstanding the endless barrage of questions coming from Hunter and Brooke....

"why? why? why?"

LMAO...

I have some great pics....soon to be posted.

Here's a few....we flipped a coin to see who would be first up, and Brooke won with a "heads" call...

Waiting to go!!!

Man have I waited for this for a long time...

Brooke patiently waiting for Lance to get the board off...

FISH ON!!!

Not sure who is happier....

It's in the net!!

Not as big as Mom's...but not bad for a first king!

Hunter's turn now...

After a slight malfunction on a the 2nd fish (Lance took a tongue-lashing from Hunter over that one..)...FISH ON!!!!

Hunter's fish in the net...

Check out that smile....

To be brutally honest here...I was not sure if Greg and Co. were 100% sure of what they were getting into when he told me..."dude, we had Wingy's kids out here before, and they were about the same age..."

I might also add that BFT (Kristin) upheld the Allen tradition of dumping big fish, as she masterfully managed to dump the two largest fish of the night....guess I'm starting to rub off on her.

Brooke also landed another king later in the evening, but for some reason Mom was not good to go with the camera. Funny to add that Hunter took it upon himself to snap a bunch of pictures while Kristin was fighting her fish and I was re-setting a line...but the only things you could see were his fingers and about 3' of buckled over fishing rod. Brooke managed to spill a pop all over the place (oops) and Hunter had quite the time convincing Greg to throttle-up the Tiara "WE GOTTA BEAT THOSE GUYS UNCLE GREG!!!!"

LOL

We had a great time, and also enjoyed the Amber Elk Farm on Saturday afternoon, then walked the pier on Sunday and spent 3 hours playing on the beach together.

The kids are anxious to go back...and for sure I want to once again say thank you to Greg, Jen, Lance, Paul, and everyone else for the great weekend. To think that 3 short years ago, I knew not one of you. Hats off to EA.com for the opportunity to share one of my passions with my family. The memories made this weekend will last a lifetime.

I had a great time with you and the family. It was amazing to watch their excitement and see them take it all in.

Clark:

Those kids are way too cute to be yours.

You sure the mailman isn't hanging around your house when you are out traveling the midwest "Clarkin" people????

Very Nice and thanks for sharing!!
One of my favorite things to see is kids on the water instead of in front of a TV.

Fish-On!

Or maybe saying "dad you better hope mom got abducted by aleins or we"re in big trouble"... Or something like that.. Looks like you guys had a blast-Nice job.
