Late start this morning 6 ish.Had 3 Really newbies,A gal who works with my wife, her husband and her Mom.We were greeted with extremely cold water and the charters were on the beach.Of course most of my reels with mono on them were in the garage from walleye fishing! So I ad libbed as well as I could with what I had and fished 20-30fow outside of the charters.Later when we got south of the other boats we slid in to 16 fow.0-4 to get started but then it did get better.Ended up with 6 in the cooler and 5 magnum shakers that lived to be caught next year.Final tally was 11-17.j plugs 50 back from the boards were good.SWRs down 1'yes thats right 1' just to hold em downSurreel black and purple and surreel bluetail spoons on the swr and later a SS in benefactor which was the only Super Slim I could find locally.A red head silver Yozzurri crank bait landed a decent king back 75 off the board.5 kings and a medium brown was the kept fish today.Ok day in spite of the low numbers.

John,
Nice going. Making do with what you have under adverse conditions is a nice asset to your abilities.

Richard
