I fished from 1PM to 6pm on Saturday and covered 70- 225 fow, and only caught 1 small Coho. The water was warm,(65*,)down to 90ft deep, and we quit early when a woozy passenger asked to go in.

Sunday afternoon brought calm seas, and we started the same way, but set in at 90 fow, heading west. We picked up a nice king in 100 fow, SD/fly on a mono dipsy, 210 back set on 3. We worked the area for a couple of loops, without success, so we headed west again. We found cold water 120ft down, so we dropped the riggers with spoons, down 120, 100, 90, and 80. Two dipsys with SD/flys 210 back set on 3, a full core with a plug, and a half core with a mag double orange crush/gold spoon. This is about all the ammo I can put out there for now. We took five more fish in less than an hour, when we got out to 240-250 fow. Spoons at 120, 100, 90, and both divers, took four nice kings and a coho.

I had the bodies to run more rods, but I don't have the gear to due so yet. I need a couple of board trees, three more diver rods/reels, a half dozen church boards and divers, some lead, mono, and wire lines, and a nice set of rocket launchers for rod storage.

I did get my 22 year old son to set up the riggers this trip, and with that, he will now be able to set up the full spread, and will do so from now on when he's on board. Next will be fish cleaning lessons!

Way to go - don't forget boat cleaning lessons - unless you already go that one covered.

Good call there Jen! He has that one covered. He had the "opportunity" to work at Tiara's Corporate Yachting Center this summer down on Lake Macatawa. He cleaned the same 9-12 boats daily. He worked his arse off, but really had a lot of fun with the new big boats. I'll be asking him for help with the clean up this off season, and I'm sure he'll be more than willing.
