After too much roofing work has kept me off the water for a little over a week, I made it out aboard the KC-1 for a quick evening fish. We fished 100-130 fow around some nets and in open water. We managed to boat 5 fish, lost one and had a few more rips that didnt get hooked. All the fish were twinkies, with 2 lakers, 1 steelie and two kings. fish were deep, like 70+ down. A mix of spoons and flasher flies took fish.
Based on past experiences in October, there should be some phenominal fishing coming up once the water cools a bit. On a calm day with no roofs to do, you will find me in 250+ fow chasing silver fish.

Yep, the best fishing of the year is still to come, IMHO. I haven't hunted in years.

Good report.
