The monthly meeting of Salmon Unlimited Illinois will be held on tuesday 3/11/2008 at 7:30 pm in the Park Ridge VFW Hall. The VFW hall is located at the corner of Canfield and Higgins less than 1 mile east of Cumberland and Hooters.

Our program for this month's meeting will be "outfitting your boat for Lake Michigan fishing". This subject will be especially helpful to first timers and those who are looking for ideas to update their boat. We will be talking about boat equipment and fishing tackle options with an eye to shortcuts to help keep the cost more affordable. The program is designed with lots of opportunites for time to ask questions of the speakers and there will be time after the meeting for additional questions. The speakers will be Captains Dave Wright and Mark Running who are members of our club

The annual Swap meet was this past saturday and with a good turnout was a great success. Thanks if you were there and supported the club for a good time. There was lots of new and used fishing/boating equipment at great prices and a chance to say hello to a lot of friends.

If you are interested in tournament fishing and haven't done it before, fishing in one of our club tournaments is a good way to get your feet wet. Come to a meeting and find out all about it. Our club tournaments start in May. Some of the meeting will be allocated to finalizing details for our 2008 tournaments.

Refreshments will be available and a tackle raffle will be held.

The meeting is open to the public. Come and meet some people who talk fish.
