River report 5 - 9 - 08

Started handlining the upper river on the Canadian side around noon Friday. Keith (Katydid) and I in Keith's handlining boat. It was very dirty. We started at Peche island and worked our way down to statue park at the foot of the ambassador bridge by 4 p.m. We had only two fish. We caught one there and continued to work until 5:30. It was the only clean water. From 5:30 to 6:30 we caught 10 more for our canadian limit and had to release the extra. All fish came on #7 and #9 rapalas with the clown catching the most fish.
