Fishing has been getting better out of Grand Haven over the past week. There have been some nice catches. Lake Trout are still hanging around the area and are coming in nice sizes. Some baits that have been catching Lake Trout are The Stinger shrode, Lemon ice and mixed Veggie. Salmon have been coming on stinger Glow Dolphin, Mixed Veggie. Holy Christmas, Can’t Afford it and orange shanster. Both the stingray and regular sized Stinger have been producing. Fish have been showing up from 125-190 feet of water and anywhere from a 5-color lead core down to the bottom. Fishing should continue to improve over the next couple of week so good luck out there!

Fishing off Grand Haven is improving every day . Some good Kings are being caught in 110 FOW out to 175 FOW
most action is 50' to 85' on riggers and divers 150 to 180 out. Copper rigs 300' and 450, Spoons have been the best with the Carmel Dolphin or Modified Carmel in Mags
Fuzzy Bears and Dreamwevers. Some fish are coming on the reg size DW caramel dolphin. Some steelhead on 3-5-7
colors of lead are being taken the best has been the Super Slims in the Jaw Breaker. Orange Crush, Alfonz.
Fishing should improve everyday now as some bait is starting to show up.

I'm impressed with the way the Super Slims produce. DW hit a homer when they developed those.

Jim, We have a magnum in the pipeline should be equally good. You are correct Roger hit a home run with this spoon. The Hello Darlin and the Orange Icicle were two of my hottest spoons all season.

Tough conditions today but managed to catch 9 fish a mixed bag with two Lakers, a Steelhead and six Kings. We stayed between 100fow and 140fow trolling into the wave NW and with them SE. Caught fish from 30' to 80' down. Divers, leadcore and copper, never had a bite on riggers. Best baits were the Super Slim Carmel Dolphin and a Mod. Green Dolphin Fuzzy Bear. Our biggest King came on a 8" Spinny Emerald/Slick with a Emerald Crystal
Action Fly. Some bait showing up finally.
