My wife (The Admiral) & I set lines around 1500 and fished Sunday afternoon/evening. We started in the shallow water where I've done pretty well the last few days. No golden takers in there, just silver bass. After 4 passes thru the area with nothing to show, we trolled out to the dumping grounds area based on recent reports, a couple phone calls, and all the boats out there. We finally started to scratch up a few 'eyes including a 6.1# 25" during the 1800 hour. We were fishing right on the border and just into Ohio. As darkness was falling and we were trolling back into Michigan we boated walleyes number 9 & 10. Mini-divers & spoons again. Green Slick was standout with 5 of our 10 fish. Two each came on tapeless blue dolphin and Moldy Muffin, one on Mi-Hi. The bright painted stuff wasn't working well for us, where as the green metalic & chartruese stuff counted for 9 of our 10. Lots of marks on the graph, many fish up high. We played with leads throughout the day and as we were finishing up, one side of the boat was 35' back and the other 65' back.

Way to go Kids! I have noticed the fish reports on a ouple of sites where they caught good fish in 24 feet of water. I think the warm weather this weekend is moving them a little deeper. Anyone going out tonight might want to check a little deeper. I wonder if the cool weather the next couple of days will bring them back in a little shallower midweek? Good thing you had the wife to show you how to get 'em!

The log for yesterday showed all but one fish came from 23-24 FOW. Another interesting note: The only shallow fish we caught in 17 FOW hit the brightly painted Mi-Hi spoon. The other nine came on the green stuff noted above in the 23-24 FOW. Hmmmm?
