BFG & I hooked up for an unplanned trip at the last minute yesterday. We set lines at 17:10 and it was "fish-on...fish-on" less than 5 minutes later - 2 in the box. We were trolling NE and waves made it a bit uncomfortable so we turned downwind (NW) and boxed 4 more in that direction. Decided to turn back to the waypoints we set when we caught each fish, which turned out to be a good move. On our upwind troll (SE) we boxed 6 more to fill our OH tickets at 19:25.

We were NE of the small pack of boats at Stoney Point and we were fishing 26-28 FOW. We started in MI, our last 3 fish came in OH. Nearest boats to us were more than a mile off. Made it nice to be able to let Otto handle the helm while I got some quality fishing in. Best spoons were Watermelon with anti-freeze back (6 fish) and Lady Bug (5 fish). We were pulling 2 lady bugs, only 1 anti-freeze (Note to self, get more AF spoons)

These fillets (and many others) will be cooked up at the Walleye Smackdown at TBM a week from Saturday. Mmmm!

Way to go Mike! It was great knowing you were out there with us. A little further but nearby. We almost came out there but started hammerin' them right where we set up the first troll and right after you called! Another great night!
