I was out on Lake Erie last night and got a call from My friend Mike (Little Dandy) as he was coming off of the lake with his crew. He heard there were storms moving across the state and knew I was just heading out with my son and his buddy. He called me first. We had several people call us on all three cell phones in the next few minutes as we pulled lines and drove in. They said we had about an hour. Earlier we drove out in 3-4 footers 7 miles from Sterling St. park launch to the state line off of Stony point. We caught 4 fish in 40 minutes and now thanks to our friends we were fighting the occasional 5 footer coming in. We tied up to the dock and were nice and dry in my completely covered cockpit but several people were literally crashing their vessels into the dock as the storm hit hard. We jumped out and spent the next 30 minutes securing vessels and getting soaked as they were whipped around in the wind. My son and his buddy were good samaritans! They are Tom 27 and Doug 30. Makes a dad proud! We drove back out after the storm and just missed limiting out with 14 walleyes. We missed four at the boat! We only fished a little over 2 hours total as we spent 3 hours driving in and out and almost 45 minutes at the dock during the nasty storm!

Doug is on the left and my son Tom is on the right.

I just got my power back on! I was fighting not to lose lots of stuff in my freezer, walleye salmon, perch, e.t.c. !!!!!! I have lots of fish in there for about five different people and some that I donate each year to different causes.

Oh yeah, The rest of the fishing report! We trolled NNE with the 3 - 4 footers before and 2 -3 footers after the storm. Dipsys and spoons 60 ft. back on one side and 80 ft. back on the other. Both sides produced equally. The hot spoons were: Green Huckleberry, Kevork circus freak, Cat/dog, all took multiple fish.
