When you see guys in bass boats down in there chucking tubes and small cranks for smallies....you better get in there..

Conrad has caught a lot of walleyes on those Rebel Craws along the Erie shoreline...not just in the corner...but all along the shoreline from Luna Pier up to Bolles...

What you guys are saying makes a lot of sense. I remember the first time I fished the swamp about 6 years ago, the surface temp in 10-12 feet was in the low 80s. I remember thinking how it was way too warm for any eyes to be around. Boy was I wrong. We took a three person limit in about 2-3 hours. The fish actually felt warm to the touch.

Guess it just goes to show how eyes will leave their preferred water temps when they can find a plentiful and easily had food source.

Been fishing out of Luna Pier for 14 years. The swamp in July is a fisherman's dream (when they are there). As a matter of fact I take the first week in July most every year to fish the walleye. I'm local and dock at LPHC. Willing to let anyone in on the scoop (or at least what I know) email is fisheye330@yahoo.com. All I ask is that you share honest reports with others. Way to many blow hards out there.

The current report is not good for eyes, boats running out to West Sister. Water is stained in front of Luna Pier (on Monday) but asking around the marina sounds like perch were hitting good mid week in 12-14' in front of 3 stacks and Toledo Beach but they slowed down after the cold front come in Tuesday. Will be out there 6/21.

Welcome aboard Jim! Please post up your reports when you get out. I was on Cantgetenough III last night with Steve and his buddy from work. I'm sure he'll post up a report, when he wakes up
