Frank or anyone I have an Islander 221 with the alpha 1 4.3 v6 currently have a 14 inch 19 pitch 3 blade prop it got nicked up a little I decided I was going to pick up a spare Would you recommend a 4 blade 18 pitch or not ? What would be the difference how owuld it affect hole shot, Top Speed rpms Thanks for any help anyone can give me ps How much top end would I lose going from a 19 to a 17 pitch ? Thanks Scott

should be about the same eng rpm better hole shot less steering torque and a little slower top end
great choice for heavy boat where steering torque is a problem

Will loose a couple mph not a huge difference
If you have power steering on the boat you will not notice the change in steering torque
great choice for the guy that has a heavy boat or mechanical steering we recommend 4 blade props for all our tiller operated boats and a boat that gets occasional use for tubing or water skiing
