Brown fishing 1/9/04 with Coz and Dave

Well we got our 15 browns today. Biggest just over 16 lbs.
Had a couple break offs and something like 7 that didn't hook up good or got off after a brief fight.
Fished from 8:00 till 11:00.
We thought we did great until spanky showed up at the launch with his 37 in. 29lber!

Congratulations guys! I'm so jealous of the winter fishery you have there. My hats off to you for openly sharing it and not trying to keep it on the down low. That one fish is a hawg!

I guess I'm going to have to "badger" some of my friends to make the trip to Milw. Somebody is going to have to teach me what I need to do. Or do you just flat line? Help please.

Coz, I really appreciate your offer to explain it to me, Could we chat on Wed sometime after 4 pm, give me a time. Sounds like it may be cold for a couple of weeks, but I'm laid off in Feb.

Bob,I usually stop in at 6pm and 9 pm central.I work nights.Our program is mostly crankbaits off of planer boards keeping the cranks from the surface down 8'.We run the high baits on the outsidegetting deeper close to the boat.

thanks Coz, that's what I sort of figured. Now I have to wait for warmer weather. will sort of watch , really don't want to go alone at this time of year.
If you are ever coming up to Point, give me a yell asnd we'll do coffee.

Really can't , but don't want to impose, and I have some things to get done before spring. Also if I really get desperate I have access to a private pond !

Bob,It would not be an imposition as I can easily fish four guys and most of the time I have a hard time scaring up 2 beside myself.We live roughly an hour apart.I will be adding you to the call list.The bite seems to be an all day thing down there so that we would not have to get up at as early an hour as I usually like to go,in fact if the weather worked out for a saturday trip I would prefer to leave a little later as I get home from work around midnite.
