Well besides working oin the new team boat whaler and I were treated to fishing with Fish-n-Fool out of Harbor View Marina (Ludington, MI). We left the harbor late approximately 6pm and ran straight out of the Harbor - we stopped in about 100' of water and sent the depth probe down - the entire water column was very warm - getting no colder than 59 degrees, So we pulled up and ran another couple of miles and sent the probe back down - we started finding coloder water down 100' and setup a troll on 240 degrees.

Center down rigger went 5 times down 105 with a Spin Doctor II (withe with Yellowish insert (mountain Dew) trialing a pickled sunshine fly. W head three leadcores go running spoons - monkeyshine and one wire diver go. Boxed 8 fish out of 12 hits and we were back in the harbor by 9:15p. Thanks to Gordie who is an excellenct fisherman and very helpful in strategy and technique.

Our troll went from about 200' of water out to 400' and back in - picking up most of our action on the 240 degree troll. Nice mixed bag of steelhead, coho, and kings.

This may seem like a stupid question, but what is the 240 degree troll?

Darrell

Hey Darrell - welcome aboard

240 degree troll is the compass heading during trolling ... sometimes the direction of the troll makes all the difference.
