Based on the many new users that have been joining I wanted to say thanks and welcome to everyone.

I'm very interested in getting content contributions from different areas around the globe. Educated Angler is built to accept content from remote users under their own control. As you can tell I live in Michigan and fish predominantly Lake Michigan for Salmon, but I'm not interested in the content of the site being dominated by fishing on Lake Michigan.

This site is not meant to be strictly geographic focusing on only the Great Lakes . By looking at demographics from where the hits and members are coming from it appears we are from all over. So if your from California or from Nova Scotia we want to make this site work for you. You don't need to build a website, build an area here to satisfy you specific needs, it's FREE and always will be. This site is built to let any member become an author, editor, publisher, or adminstrator. It is not about making money on this site, it is about building a place to share information, we aren't selling ad space, we are running google banners which offset a little bit of what we are spending to have google ads on other sites. None of the other banners are Paid banners - mainly because we don't want to create a conflict of interest between people contributing content for free and someone else making money off of it.

When we say it is the "next-generation" of angler websites we mean it! We are interested in building technologies to aid in successful fishing, but we need your input! Tell us about online tools you wish you had access to, tells what we need to add or get rid of.

This is meant to be a completely community run site, I don't want to dominate it, I want it to grow organically to become a place where people that share a passion come together.

Post here with your thoughts regarding any of these topics.
