Just wondering what boards others are using. I have been using willie boards for high lines and short cores. I use Church Walleye Boards for heavier stuff like full cores. I don't like the plastic arms on the willie boards and the Church boards are pretty expensive. Just wonder if there is a better altenative out there.

I use the Church walleye boards for everything from longlining J's to 2-20 colors of core. It's nice to have all the boards the same so that you can keep some semblance of a formation to better detect shakers and tangles.

I use the Church Walleye boards and the Offshore board. The Church boards are much better and easier to use in my opinion. I also have some yellow birds but rarely run those.

You hit on another reason I am looking Jim. The Church Boards pull much better than the willies so the willies are always back futher. The Walleye boards just seem expensive. But so does everything else I guess...

Howard , I really like my Off-Shore SST boards and I think they pull as good
as the Church boards , the Church boards have the advantage of the way the line is attached in the rear and that makes it quick and easy to get them off .Price of the Off-Shores is about the same as the Church boards so there is no price saving's , I have used the Willie boards and Yellow birds and gave them all away.

I run the big boards for spring brown trout. For leadcore and Copper I use the Church Boards as well as everyone else it seems. THey work great.

Church boards here as well - the walleye board and TX-24 which are the same as far as I can tell.

I haven't tried the SST boards yet but am willing to give them a try - used to run the older Offshore boards ... and just liked the ease of removal of the Church boards.
