Just talked to Saint on the Nextel fishing out of Muskegon ...

I guess this qualifies as "good salmon chop" - 4 -6 footers with an occasional 7 thrown in with a three foot cross chop.

Yummmmmmmmmmy!!!!

YA, we did the BERTRAM bounce all weekend!!! They where pretty big on Friday and then laid down to a 2ft chop before dark. We went 14-21 on that charter. Saturday was just about as bad all day! We got a late start due to the storms and my crew showed up 2 1/2 late. We went 8-12 in 2hrs of fishing in about 3-5footers and built to 4-6 by the afternoon gig. Saturday night we fished and got 11 fish. Thought we may get sunked because the guys lost the first 9 fish before I had to come off the bridge and boat one to show them how to fight fish in BIG water! They where about 5footers and laid down to about 2's around dark! But, the BIG BIG waves where today!! Got out around 6am and figured that when waves are washing over the flybridge 1/2 mile out side the piers that it was not fishable!! I would say that they where atleast 6's with an 8er or 9er thrown in!!! Well get tomarrow off and then have doubles for about the next 2 weeks!!! Hope the fish start running or the waves die!! I have to head to the Back doctor tomarrow for some adjusting after this weekend!!

Calm sea's!!!! PLEASE!

WOW! Sure glad I stayed home this weekend. Wednesday is looking good and the fish seem to have taken up residence in close last couple times out. Glad to hear you guys made it out alive, sounds brutal.
