We got out and fished Sat. till noon in the Milwakee harbor as it was way to rough to get out on the lake.
Trolled crank baits on the surface off from inline boards and a few fish were caught , we ventured out 1
time through the north pier head and lost a nice fish but it was way to rough to stay out. Had a great cook out { Bob from Iowa brought over beef kabobs and had them all cooked up for us} and visited with a bunch of the Wis. guys , they are a great bunch. Went out Sun. morning and fished at Bender Park along the power plant discharge right up on the shore , lot of nice browns were caught but lake was real bad after you got more than a couple of hundred yards off shore. Ran all cranks on inline boards and shallow set riggers { 8 feet} with long leads , there were about 8 or 10 boats there from the group fishing , I think everbody caught fish. Not a bad drive over , 6 hours from Milwakee to lapeer. Hope to do it again if the chance comes up. Chip , sorry , with the nasty weather we were not able to get out and fish deep water and give the new Rattlers a good try , had good comments though from a few of the guys that saw them. I have some good photos that I will try to post as soon as I figure out how to do it.

if you have any problems ... just fire them off to info@educatedangler.com and I'll put them up - sounds like a good time. I was worried about you guys as I was watching the near and offshore forecasts. Glad you got some fish and had a good time. 6 hours to Milwaukee? Not bad at all! Got to love the 70 MPH speed limit!
