All,

Which would you rather experience with our salmon and trout fishery? Numbers or Size?? I'm asking about kings here...but other species would apply as well. Seems the numbers of large lakers are no longer present on the West side of the lake..in comparison to the late 90's and early 2000's where it was common to see 6 lakers of 15# or more brought to the scales at SU events.

Personally, I would rather experience numbers, as I like to see limits come to the net. I have not been salmon fishing long enough to have experienced the "good ole days" where 30# kings came to the net on Lake Michigan, so my perception may be somewhat skewed on this matter.

I did see several kings over 30# at Rogers City in the late 1990's..including two impressive fish at the cleaning station...one which weighed 37# and the other 33#..caught by the same crew as a double (according to them).

Your thoughts are appreciated.
