Greg , I don't really know for sure the exact depth , I suspect approx. 2 or 3 feet with the 1/8 ounce and 4 to 6 feet with the 1/4 ounce depending on speed and lead lenght but I could be way off. I start with the 1/8 and then go to the 1/4 ounce and heavier as we get fish going. I think 1 color of lead core weighs 1/4 ounce and that goes about 4 or 5 feet per color.
