Went out yesterday by myself to search for silvers so I could have a place to start today when the crew showed up.
I found a little pod of silvers half way from racine to kenosha.
I should say I knew that the fish were south by the illinois border last week but I was hoping they had moved north.
I picked up 4 fish in quick succession, all silvers, even got 2 at once and landed them both. They shut down after that and I was unable to reestablish contact.
I looked a couple more places with no go. Then Ran up to racine and motored up the Root River to help my friend Capt. Rich with a couple things he was getting ready for his charter season.

I got home at 11:00 and went to bed at 12:30 got up at 6:00 to meet the guys at 7:00 (Reid, his son Matty, and my son Corey)
We set out for my spot from the day before because we had no better plan, we got 3 fish before I had to take Corey back at 10:30, really slow fishing. When we went back out afterwards we headed straight out to 120 fow set up and hit 2 steelhead right away, man did that first one put on an arial show! We thought we had them down but after another 30 minutes without a bump I made the decision to run the 12 miles to the illinois border where I had heard from a friend on the way to drop off my son that he had been slaying them.
This decision was made easier by the fact that the waves had died down to a mere tooth rattling level from the bone jarring state they had been in on the way back to port.
We arrived at the numbers and set up and immediatly had good action until we limited out with our 15 fish.
All in all a great day Thanks Reid and Matty for the good company.
What better way to spend 8 hours
The guys who had big boats and stayed around Racine ended up well short of limits, so it's great to have the hondas gas mileage.

I noticed from your pictures that you have the rubber diamnond plate pads down on your floor. How do they work? Do they keep the floor underneth clean? Are they the same pads used in gyms? Are they very slippery when wet and how do they clean up? I think that is a great idea for keeping things clean.
