We made it out at noon on the 3rd and finished up at 3:30. 4 for 6 for the afternoon in 85 to 112 fow. Unfortunately I think we fished too deep. The good news, we mark a lot of fish in the 65 fow on the way in. With that in mind and the wind conditions, we had a better idea where to start on the 4th.
The forth started out slow but we managed 9 for 11 and made it in just intime for a parade (which kept everyone at home happy). We spent the morning in the mud and mostly 62 fow. White/crushed glow sp dr, nuclear waste, nbk, chrome spoon with lime edge, purle with green fire tiger pattern, and mountain dew flasher with sea foam fly did most of the damage. The fish were much larger than any trip so far. The largest fish was 16.7 lbs, but we also had a 15, two 14's and 2 12's.
For the evening, we switched crews and brought out the families ( 4 kids under age 6). Our batting average dropped considerably finishing 5 for 10, but again very large fish. The largest was 16.5 lbs. It took all four kids to reel in that one. We fihed the mud again. We pulled lines and made in in to watch the fireworks. It seemed like there was very strong currents on both days, making the speed control difficult.
