I will be in town this weekend for my birthday and was wondering if anybody had any reports for fishing out of St. Joe/Benton Harbor. I would just like to have a good idea of where to start or where I would have a good opportunity to catch a few. I'm guessing that J-plugs and flies w/ flashers are working well right now. I would possibly be fishing Friday evening and Saturday morning. Thanks in advance.

I'm also looking for reports, as Bender is headed there this afternoon to fish through the weekend.

He's taking his son (age 12) on his first salmon fishing trip, and I'd like to try and point him in a general direction where they can get into some fish.

Feel free to post up or PM if you like.

Wasn't able to make it out last weekend but have another day off Thursday again of this week. Does anybody have any kind of a report out of St. Joe/Benton Harbor. I'd just like to have a depth to start at. Thanks.

My bro in law and nephew fished 80-130fow south of the pier heads on Thursday evening and were 3 for 3, 1 king @ 9# and 2 lakers in the 7-8# range in about 90 minutes of fishing.

Weather was too rough for them to get out again....which was a disappointment.

Fished out of St. Joe/Benton Harbor today and ended up 1/1. Fished from 6:45-11:30. Fished from 35 feet right out in front of the pierheads all the way down to 90 fow south of the pierhears a few miles. Fish came on a green flasher/green fly combo. Couldnt get a hit on plugs or any other flasher/fly combo. Talked to several guys at the ramp who didn't end up with any. Fish was 19 lbs but a very slow day.
