Hi, still no luck,I tried my bayliner dealer they never done it to a 175 and didnt know of any bracket that would work. I sent photos to garelick and fulton performance they both said nothing they have would work and other boat dealers too,no luck. I'm so frustrated and looked into this for weeks. You have much more knoweledge with boats than myself. I did have an idea pop into my head last night and I want to check with you if it might work.
What if I go to an iron works place and have an "L" made ? But first I buy either a fulton 1810, or 1820, or garelick 71091 or 71090 bracket. On this "L" I have them put 4 holes for bolts then having a friend come by that mounted a bracket of this type on his boat we find where this bracket would work on a flat transom and transfer for those holes onto this "L" bracket. I think this would work, but what im worried about say this brackets made out of steel, not knowing what else they have to make 1,I put a strip of ply wood, or some pressure treated wood on and under swim platform as backing for bolting purposes(I would need a backing? right?) But my worry and question for you is doing this and say the skeg, prop or lower unit hits a rock or stump would the outboard break some where which would be normal, or could say the outboard not break and I get a break on my swim platform? If you understand this thank you very much,
would this idea work?
thank you very much, frog

I did one like that years ago with a four winn 200 horizon out board used 2" X 1/4" aluminum angle on top , had to go into the transome and put plywood under to reinforce the swimm platform then we used a sail drive out board 25" to push the boat. This guy is still around and using this set up i will see if i can get some pictures .
this boat was not really desighned with this function in mind so geting it done will take some imagination
