whole bunch of questions come to mind .
>how did your friend winterize
>is it a late model 4.3 that has the intercooled intake manifold? (these have a extra drain low on the fromt of the intake manifold ) was this drain neglected or anti freeze not run through the motor
if each time you are geting water in a diferent cylinder its probably the intake manifold or exhaust manifold . if the exhaust manifolds where properly presure tested they are safely eliminated from the diagnostic procedure .
best guess at this point with the information you have given "cracked intake mainfold"
any way you look at it the motor has to come apart the heads have to come off and the intake manifold and heads have to be checked before you ruin the rest of the motor .
some boats this can be done in the boat in most cases we pull the motor and do it on a test stand then run and test before reinstalling .
sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the boat will leave you stranded some day if you dont get her fixed .

Honda cat it is a 1995 4.3 Exhaust manifolds were pressure tested and came back fine My buddy who winterized it has the same boat though his is an 86 I will have to ask again but im fairly certain he ran antifreeze through it when he winterized it Would his boat have the extra drain plug ? Or just mine I suppose if mine did and his didnt hec ould have meiised it But wouldnt running antifreeze through it take care of that Thanks you have been a great help My uncle who is a mechanic retired and is now working at a marina Does not have alot of experience with Marine engines But id learning fast he also thought it could have been an intake manifold Thanks again I will keep you posted My boat is carbuerator not fuel injection My uncle is going to see if it has the intercooled intake manifold by any chance do you know off the top of your head Thanks so much for everything Bones
