1st trip of the season!!

Well i got a chance to head down to Erie yesterday. Ran out of Bolles and went down towards Turtle Island. Didnt set lines until about 1:00, took the first fish 10 minutes in. Stayed on them until about 5:00 ended up going 21 for 26 and keeping our 3 man limit. Tossed back two 7 lbers to be caught again. Trolled in 16 fow pulling #10 deep huskey jerks. Ended the day with a 5 banger landing 4 of them. A great way to start the season!!

It was perfect, just a little stained. Bad thing is we had all that east wind yesterday so i'm sure she dirtied up some. Gonna hit her again on Sat if the weather holds.

Where abouts were you guys? I have only made 1 pass down by turtle this year and have hung around the dumping grounds for the most parts.

May head down to Turtle on Sat.

We were about a mile to a mile and a half north and west of the island. We are heading back down Sat also, i hope it isnt all mud. Gonna have to check out the coastal watch today and see.
