It's that time again, as the 2006 season has come to an end for most of us on the Big Lake it's time to rate your 5 top spoons. These aren't necessarily the spoons that caught the most fish, they could be the ones that resulted in key catches. For me without looking at the all of the log sheets, I prefer to go from memory anyway jsut because I'll remember the high impact spoons.
In no particular order:
Yecks Red Lazer -- Because both days of the Ludington tournament it caught our limit filling fish, both times off the slide diver.
Fuzzy Bear Ludington Glow MAGNUM -- Produced all year for us
Northport Blueberry Glow Prototype -- produced several of our big fish the second day of the Grand Haven tournament and won us the 333 Port Championship. On the 15 and 18 color cores as I rememeber it.
Caramel Dolphin (Dreamweaver and Fishlander variations) -- Just a great producer overall - not every day but some days it put lots of fish in the boat.
Green Glow (many variations but top was Fuzzy Bear Fuzzy Glow) -- a simple lure that caught fish all year, who'd have thunk it - an all silver lure with green glow tape would be so deadly.

It is very difficult to pick a top 5. For me and my crew, it was the year of the Yecks. We had a lot of production from other baits, but these were productive day after day:
No suprise here my 5 are all Northport Nailers. blueberry glow (19) glow tiger roughy (65) lemon fire glow (76) blue/green dophin (prototype) mahsed mahi (prototype)(Late season only had on last 3 trips but it scored HUGE)
Other really strong runner ups: sour apple (29) superior sunset (35) Sunfire (69) Blueberry muffin (45 and prototype) Purple passion (91) blue mahi (82) bruiser (31)
