Well its the "humble" time of the yr with my trade and yes the big layoff is in effect as of Monday....

But the fish were biting all the way from Oscoda to Alpena..While 3 of us went and managed to "box" 7 of those elusive east side salmonoids, but by far not the greatest yet it beats the empty box at any given time.. The lure of choice was pink/black w/chartruse glow spots and a couple on blue/silver cleo's.. Our biggest one was around 12pds (according to the beer scale) And the others were around the 7 to 9 lb bracket..

Well it sure was nice to get out and do some fishing after the "long summer" and finally see that Lance and his "gang" didnt clean out Huron.... .

But this weekend the rods are going to be put away and the "stick and string" is now going to hold my interest until Dec....

To all that bowhunts Good Luck To All and have a safe and enjoyable deer season... And to all that dont YOU SHOULD......

Oh btw Mr Jambeck i talked to a salmon i caught off the N Pier and he said "hi".......
