sinful, Just got in from phase 1 of winterization. I have the waypoints downloaded from my gps to a chip. The chip is burried somewhere in the truck and I'm not going to unpack 'till morning. Need to offload the chip to my PC. Will get to it tomorrow and get you some coordinates.
The active spots did seem to be moving N and W. There were a bunch of guys perchin' on the area I really would have liked to get to Monday. We just skirted the edge of the pack a few times and had one spot that hit for 2 double headers and a couple singles.

Here's the track from Oct 8th. The area we concentrated on is pretty obvious. Other waypoints in the area in the 05x range are where we have taken concentrations of fish recently. Middle numbers in the 45-46, 03-08. Good luck out there and be safe.
There were probably 100 boats perching to the north of this track, which is where I really wanted to be fishing Monday. If you troll between the perch fishermen and the island, you should be able to hook up.

The bite does seem to pick up just before dark. Our best action seemed to be after 6pm. We were pulling lines around 6:30 though. Its about a 40 minute ride at easy cruise speed back to the marina from that area for me and I prefer to be in by dark as I don't like running in the dark. When you hook up a double, mark the spot and go right back to it. The fish seemed to be in pods and we had pretty good luck doing that as opposed to the vast schools of early summer.
Post up a report if you get out. LD is done fishing for this season now. A few more chores 'till she's in the barn.
